Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
What is the PTA?
The mission of the PTA is to promote academic, social, and environmental projects that build bonds between our school and the community. The PTA provides volunteers and financial assistance for many activities throughout the year.
What does the PTA do?
The PTA provides support to teachers and classrooms through lunch and recess supervision, field trips, and a book fair. The PTA encourages healthy living and environmental initiatives like Garden Clubs, composting, and Walking Wednesdays. The PTA celebrates our community’s diversity with events like International Night and Unity Through the Arts & Sciences.
How can I get involved?
You can join the PTA for $10/person. You can also attend a PTA meeting - all meetings are listed in the weekly parent newsletter, as well as on the Peterson website. You can volunteer for an activity, check out the bulletin boards by the playground and front entrance of the school, or ask your child’s teacher how to get involved.
