PTA Reflections Program 2017-2018
"All students are invited to submit entries in the 2017 PTA Reflections Art Program. Students can submit entries in Film Production, Dance Choreography, Visual Arts, Photography, Music Composition, and Literature. All items submitted must be about the theme, "Within Reach", and are due by Friday, November 30th to the main office. Please remember to fully fill out an entry form for each item submitted (requires a parent signature and an artist statement), and please make sure to read the rules about what is an acceptable entry (there are size limits; nothing 3D, etc. - please read the category rules for the category that you are participating in). All participants will receive a participation certificate; entries winning awards at the district, state, or national level will be invited to a special PTA district dinner to accept their award. Questions? Contact Karla Holcomb at 773-539-1622."
PTA Teacher Appreciation Program
At the last PTA meeting, we discussed all the wonderful opportunities the teachers are providing for our kids. Playing on the basketball team, singing in the choir, playing in band, painting a mural, participating in the school play, joining chess club or one of the other many clubs - these activities would not be possible without the extra time and effort our teachers put in.
