Long story short- In college, I had spent my summers working at a sleepaway camp in the Poconos Mountains. After graduating with my nursing degree, I started working at a sub acute rehab center, and did not enjoy it at all. This lead me to brainstorm what jobs would allow me to have time off in the summer, to continue to work at the summer camp. I stumbled upon school nursing, and have never looked back! I continued to work at the summer camp for 7 years, and am now entering my 8th year as a school nurse! I also met my now husband while working at the summer camp, so you could say this summer camp led me to now only passion as a school nurse, but also to my husband! Three years ago I was randomly (and thankfully!) placed at Peterson starting as Health Service nurse, and transitioning into the school nursing role, and havent looked back!

“My favorite thing about Peterson is the inclusive environment of the school- whether it be regarding all students diverse needs, or the communities diverse ethnic background; everyone comes together to make Peterson an amazing and supportive place to be!”

Spend time with my husband, friends, and my three cats! Also, having game nights, whether it be card games, board games, outside lawn games- love them all!
